Sheena Khan
Head of Environmental Programmes at Terra Expo City, Dubai

Sheena is a sustainability program manager with over 17 years of professional experience, specialized in strategizing and implementation of multi-stakeholder corporate sustainability, environmental education and climate action programs in the UAE. Her professional experience ranges across organizational types including multinational, start-up and NGOs.

Most recently, in her role as education department head, Sheena led the transition of Terra from mega event pavilion to UAE’s first sustainability center as part of Expo City Dubai in the run up to COP 28. She project managed development of 15 unique programs, including the youth Climate Ambassador’s Program in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, whilst leading a team of 17 full time staff. Prior to this, she created and implemented Terra’s Expo 2020 education strategy via management of the AED 3 million budget, building and leading a team of 15 environmental science communicators.

Having studied Sustainability at Harvard University’s Extension School, Sheena went on to conceptualize, launch and deliver The Change Initiative’s award-winning corporate sustainability program. In her role as Education Program Manager at Emirates Green Building Council, Sheena designed engaging educational offerings for the organization’s members and the broader green building industry.

She holds a Graduate Certificate with Merit in Responsible Tourism, is a WELL Accredited Professional, a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C) and GRI Certified Sustainability Professional.
